STOP PRESS!! MANCHESTER GIG 50/50 TIM IN HOSPITAL WITH MYSTERY ILLNESS!!
Tim Wheeler, Ash frontman was today admitted to a london hosptial with painful swellings to arms. Mark Hamilton, bassist in Ash called me to say "Tim is in that private hosptial that Posh had her baby in, his arm is about 4 times it size, I dont know if the gig is still going ahead tomorrow" Ash were due to play Manchester Apollo on 8/5/3 as part of the CARLING LIVE gig, with HOT HOT HEAT and THE RAIN BAND but it is now looking shaky. Mark also went on to say "If it does go ahead, Tim wont be able to play guitar, so Charlotte will have to do everything herself and Tim will just sing" No stand in lead guitarist will appear, which will prove very very interesting for everyone involved as Charlotte cant play the solos as far as I know. sorry Chaz but its true! Ash-Unofficial will be the first with any breaking news. I dont even think Carling know yet. Someone break it to them please...

Dmh then added....

yep we rehearsed today as a 3 piece, minus Tim as he is attached to a drip in some hospital. he'll sing but weather or not he'll be able to play guitar is in the hands of the gods.

and...

well looks like we may be previewing 'Evil Eye' and 'On a wave' minus Tim on guitar. 'Cavalcade' and 'Orphious' will be back too. Fingers crossed he'll play, if the swelling goes down.

So, fingers, toes and everything else crossed!
